What is the fingerprinting process in Pennsylvania?


The fee for submitting fingerprints is $25.00 ($10.00 to access the FBI database and $15 to access the State Police database). In addition, there is a separate $15 processing fee required by PSI.

The following fingerprinting guidelines apply to applicants for a new Insurance Producer license under Act 147 of 2002:

 After passing the examination, use the kiosk at the PSI test site to complete your license application online at or

 Payment for both the fingerprint fee ($25.00) and the license application fee ($55.00) must be made payable by using the kiosk. Sircon accepts VISA or MasterCard only. NIPR accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Paypal, or automated clearing house (ACH) / electronic check.

 Print out your SIRCON or NIPR confirmation page and show it to the test site proctor as proof you have paid the FBI/BCI fees.

 Pay the $15.00 PSI processing fee, made payable by money order, cashier’s check, company check, Discover, American Express, VISA or MasterCard.

 Your fingerprints will then be scanned.

Fingerprint results will be returned to the Department electronically. The Department will evaluate the results and the license application prior to issuing any license.
